Mike Newall
A gentle, amiable power-house of a comic, Mike’s timing is the envy of performers with ten times the experience and is living proof that you can’t learn to be funny, some people just are. Since making his debut in 2003, he has toured the country honing his skills and is now a force to be reckoned with. A talent who audiences, colleagues and industry-types alike are really sitting up and taking notice of, Mike Newall is the future of the Manchester scene, as cheering crowds from Penzance to Inverness will happily testify.
In 2010 he did his first Edinburgh Fringe Show, ‘Mr Famous’. The Scotsman newspaper reviewed the show and said ‘…his hair is immaculate.’ They also said ‘perfectly crafted’ and ‘pin sharp’ but let’s not dwell on that. He returned to Edinburgh in 2011 with a new show, ‘Mike Newall’s Get Better Box’. That same year, he headlined the prestigious ‘Big Value Comedy’ early show. In September 2012 he joined Alun Cochrane on tour as his support act which ran until June 2013 and in the same year took another show 'Six Weddings' to the Edinburgh Festival. He's currently working on his newest show 'High On Gravy' to be performed at festivals 2016.
