Stephen Merchant

Stephen Merchant is an English actor, writer, director and stand-up comedian who began his comedy career as a stand-up in Bristol. However, it was via The Office - the mock-documentary he co-wrote with Ricky Gervais - that he rose to stardom. Regularly working with Gervais, subsequent projects have included Extras and the HBO sitcom Hello Ladies. He now lives in California and has appeared in a number of Hollywood films.
