Jen Brister
Jen Brister is a stand up comic, writer and comedy actor. A regular performer on the UK & International circuit, she has also written for BBC Scotland and presented for BBC6 Music.
Earlier in her career, Jen was part of the very prestigious Comedy Zone in the Pleasance Cabaret Bar at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Jen has enjoyed successful tours of her shows ‘British(ish)’ and ‘Now & Then’ in Australia and Asia, performing at comedy festivals worldwide, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and selling out the Soho Theatre in London.
Jen previously worked on BBC6 Music where she presented a number of different shows including the weekend overnights, the weekend breakfast show and stand-ins for Lauren Laverne, Liz Kershaw and Jon Holmes. She also starred in Russell Brand & Trevor Lock’s ‘Cloud Cuckoo Land’ on BBC Radio 2.
Jen took her latest show, ‘Wishful Thinking’ to the Melbourne Comedy Festival in March last year to critical acclaim and then to the Edinburgh Fringe in August for a full run before again, selling out a weekend run at Soho Theatre.
Recently, she appeared on 2 episodes of ‘Comedy Central Live at the Comedy Store’ and is currently writing new material and gigging across the country.
