Felicity Ward
Felicity Ward is a multi-award winning, Australian stand-up comedian, comic performer, writer and actor.
At the 2008 Melbourne Fringe, Felicity Ward debuted her full-length stand-up comedy show, Felicity Ward’s Ugly As A Child Variety Show. The autobiographical show went on to become a commercial and critical hit, and was awarded Most Outstanding Newcomer and then nominated for the same award at the following Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Ward was then invited to take UAAC Variety Show to the Edinburgh Fringe, where she won the ‘Spirit of the Fringe Award’
Since then, Felicity has written and toured numerous solo shows across Australia, Europe and the USA to great success. She has won a number of major comedy awards in Australia and appeared on numerous television shows including Spicks and Specks, Thank God Your’e Here, Laid, Good News Week, The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, No Laughing Matter, The Best of Sydney Comedy Festival Gala and the Oxfam Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.
In 2012, Felicity appeared in her debut feature film, Working Dog’s comedy Any Questions For Ben?, She was described as the ‘standout performance of the film.’
In 2013 Felicity relocated to London and has been performing regularly on the UK club circuit and at festivals across the country. She has just completed successful seasons of her latest show, The Iceberg at the Melbourne, Sydney and Perth Comedy Festivals. She performed at the Jive Comedy Festival Cape Town in June and was been invited to perform at Montreal’s Juste Pour Rire Comedy Festival (Just For Laughs) in July. She played the highly prestigious Comedy Stage at Latitude Music Festival and then took The Iceberg to Edinburgh Fringe in August.
